Selenium is an automated software testing
framework that is used on web applications only, to test their functionalities
and regression. Note that it does not support the desktop applications and
therefore it is different from UTF tool.
In this post are 5
things you need to know about Selenium.

Integrated development environment for selenium
It is the simplest tool in the Selenium package
because it is easy to install and use. The only disadvantage is that it is
intended to be used only in the Firefox browser. However, simplicity means that
most engineers use it as a prototyping tool rather than as a global solution
for the development and maintenance of complex test suites. To use the Selenium IDE tool,
you need to know HTML, JavaScript, and the Document Object Model to be able to
serve it completely. The Selenium IDE helps you achieve only two goals, that
is, the ability to enter orders faster, and secondly, prevent you from entering
wrong / invalid orders.

Selenium RC Server
This tool extends the capabilities of Selenium Pack
because it opens in different browsers and supports different operating
systems. It consists of a Java file and does not require any special
installation after the download. The tool automatically groups the selenium kernel
and injects it into the browser. However, you will need to correctly install
the java environment and the execution path to be able to execute it
successively from the console. It is recommended to confirm that Java is
correctly installed by running the java-version command on your console. The
response after running the version control must be 1.5 or later, which means
that you can start with the tester.

Selenium Web Driver
Two functions are common in Webdriver and Selenium
RC. Both allow the use of the programming language in the creation of test
scripts. And secondly, they allow the user to run the tests on different web
browsers. The difference between RC and WD is in architecture and speed. For architecture,
the WD architecture is simple compared to the Selenium RC architecture. And at
speed, WD is faster than Selenium RC because it has the ability to control the
navigation engine directly, while Selenium RC uses JavaScript to control the
browser.
Different types of expectations in Webdriver
There are two types of hold in the Webdriver, that
is, implicit waiting and explicit waiting. Implicit waiting is used to provide
a default timeout between each consecutive test. While explicit wait stops
execution until a specific condition is met.
Always have a defined strategy before running the Selenium
tools
To increase your chances of success when using
Selenium, it is advisable to define a strategy that you will focus on during
the testing process. Based on your strategy, create questions that will help
you better determine your chances of success. Strategy questions should always
relate to the overall purpose of the project you are using. From the answers to
these questions, you can determine the functionality of your application in
different browsers.

Withdraw
The main limitation of the Selenium Pack is that it
only supports testing on web applications. Mobile applications can not be
tested using it. Second, there is no support provider available because it is
an open source tool.get the selenium

It's a wonderful post and very helpful, thanks for all this information. You are including better information regarding this topic in an effective way.Thank you so much.
